Awards and honours
To mark its 191st anniversary, UZH conferred numerous honors and awards at the Dies academicus on 29 April 2024. Daniel Jositsch, member of the Council of States, delivered the keynote address to an audience of invited guests from the worlds of science, politics and business at Irchel Campus.
Honorary doctorates were awarded to historian and archaeologist Oded Lipschits, legal scholar Michal Gal, economist Douglas Bernheim, behavioral economist Iris Bohnet, veterinarian Polly Taylor, science fiction author Kim Stanley Robinson and particle physicist Beate Heinemann.
