Awards and Honors

To mark its 192nd anniversary, UZH conferred numerous honors and awards at the Dies academicus on 16 May 2025. Tiana Angelina Moser, member of the Council of States, delivered the keynote address to an audience of invited guests at Irchel Campus.

Honorary doctorates were awarded to historian Amy Nelson Burnett, theologian Herman Johan Selderhuis, horse trainer Fredy Knie junior, academic economist Laura T. Starks, banking expert Dr. Christian Rahn, linguist Elisabeth Gülich, legal philosopher Elisabeth Holzleithner, and conservationist Paula Kahumbu.
